OUR PORTFOLIO

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

This page features a sample of some of our past work. Ellie is the lead designer, while Gar works on a lot of the backend, coding, and administrative aspects, and we collaborate as project managers. We have a vast collection of premium features and plugins, which totals hundreds of dollars every year to maintain their licenses and updates. We believe it's worth it to pay for a safe, quality product. This includes optional functionality to be able to update the site on your own with an easy editor that we install so you can make changes from any desktop or mobile device. If you can use email, you can update your website with this editor, and we provide ongoing support if you have any questions.

All our top rated plugins and custom built themes are available with any website we build, and cover literally everything your website could ever need, plus many spare parts for added functionality now or in the future. Some of these options include...

FNI, INC.

From consultant to designer and back again...

FNI, INC. is a tech company based in Portland, OR that specializes in productivity, technical support, consulting, cloud, security, and communication services for a wide variety of businesses.

I originally started with FNI as a consultant to help with edits and updates to their already existing website. Several months later, they decided to redesign their website from top to bottom and hired me on to take on the project after already proving myself to be a dependable designer. I designed and rebuilt the website with help from their team to oversee any changes as we went along. After the site was ready to launch, I came in to provide training on updates if they wanted to change wording or images.

In addition to web design, FNI has also hired me to design their business cards, as well as ongoing consulting with their clients, and ongoing site maintenance, including future plans to expand and build upon their already existing website.

SALVADOR MOLLY'S

Bringing the dining experience to the web...

Salvador Molly's Restaurant is based in Portland, OR and offers guests a truly unique dining experience. The owner, Rick, has traveled the world in search of exceptional dishes to bring back and share in his restaurant and on his blog. It's been featured in dining shows, especially for their world famous "Great Balls of Fire" eating challenge.

I was originally hired to build Salvador Molly's website after they struggled to find a dependable web designer to get the job done. After meeting with Rick and discussing what he wanted for his new website, I started building it out and checking in periodically for any changes they wanted made along the way.

This was a big project, not only in the size of the site itself, but because they have a large following in the Portland area. I wanted site visitors to feel impressed enough to crave their food and go in and grab a bite to eat. The main goals were to focus on their unique style, highlight the food delivery options, their extensive menu, and the newsletter signup where they promote new blog posts and upcoming specials. It's continued to be one of my favorite projects and I look forward to creating more restaurant websites in the future.

RIVER ROCK ENERGY

No distance is too far to work with ROVE...

River Rock Energy is a listing for the Australian Stock Exchange and run by a group that oversees multiple ASX listings in Perth, Western Australia. I've helped setup and organize several of their websites over the years since we first became acquainted when I was living in Perth in 2013.

Now that I'm back in the states, the distance and time difference doesn't deter us from continuing to work well together. As part of their overall team, I've helped them setup hosting, migrate websites, build new ones from concept to completion, and helped to oversee other aspects of their web design needs.

By showcasing their current listing and providing accurate and detailed information to interested visitors, their listings have gained global interest to intercontinental parties and their affiliates. My work has served as a pivotal role in helping their projects go from a presentation and a prospectus to making it on the Australian Stock Exchange.

LICE NINJAS

A simple yet effective website for her small business...

Lice Ninjas is a small business owned and operated by Alana Engleman in Portland, OR. She offers professional head lice removal with her perfected technique over many years in the business. She's one of the most affordable and sought after head lice removal professionals in the area. As a mom of a teenager, she wants to show her daughter that she can start her own business, work for herself, and support herself, and Alana has done exactly that.

Running a small business on your own is a lot of hard work, among all the other daily needs of the business, she didn't have the time to learn how to setup, design, and maintain a website. Her main goal was to get her phone number and basic info out there so that her clients can find her when they need her services. Her daughter designed the graphics on the page and Alana wanted to showcase those as part of her website. Her daughter is available for consignment work. If you're looking for a graphic artist with her style, send me a message.

Alana's website is hosted on our dedicated servers, backed up daily, and maintained with updates to plugins and backend security in order to keep it actively running efficiently at all times.

FAIRY FORGE

Every artist needs a portfolio...

Fairy Forge is an artist's portfolio site to showcase Jenny Ellsworth's work. Jenny creates sculptures using mostly found materials. Since she's more of an artist than a marketer, she knew she needed a website but she was stuck on how to make one and where to begin. We went over her goals and what she wanted to highlight for her visitors. Her main goal was exposure. She wanted to have her art become visible to a wider variety of people than she could ever personally contact on her own.

In order to get her work seen by a wider audience, she needed to be able to showcase her art in a way that caught the attention of potential clients, galleries, artists' showcases, and other events both locally, nationally, and abroad. She didn't have many photos of her showing her process, so I photographed her welding pieces together, which is now the header image of her page as well as several other photos throughout her website.

Even though Jenny doesn't have a lot of computer experience, she is able to update her website on her own. After her website was complete, I gave her personalized instructions for updating it from any desktop, tablet, or mobile device so she can update photos and events even when she's on the go.

After being very disappointed with her last hosting provider, Jenny now hosts her website with us on our dedicated server, ensuring it's faster, reliable, and more secure than most other hosting plans. We provide daily off-site backups and monthly site maintenance to run any updates and make other changes as needed.
